Learn how to use this most versatile and portable water medium to paint the beauty and impressions around you with minimal set up. Ideal for travel, journaling or in the studio. Gouache can be used straight from the tube or mixed on a palette. It can be watered down to look like watercolor or opaque like acrylics and oils. The support can be watercolor paper, illustration board Aquaboard. Gouache can even be varnished and framed without using glass!

Learn how to create beautiful, dramatic and moody Landscapes.  The focus will be on composition,

shapes, values, edges, color temperature, etc. there will be a short demo and plenty of individual attention throughout the three day workshop. Photo references will be provided or students can use their photos.

Students will be encouraged to interpret rather than replicate a photo, using vibrant brush marks, tools, imagination and creativity.
